Itinerary

We're excited about the upcoming reunion.  Some of you will be arriving over the weekend while others will filter in throughout the week and the departure dates may vary.  The following is an itinerary of events for the week so that you can plan accordingly based on your own schedule:

SUNDAY

Dinner at the Johanson's house at 6pm

MONDAY

10am-1pm-O’Brien Water Park-10795 Victorian Dr, Parker, 80138-We’ll bring snacks and then have a late lunch back at the Johanson's house.  Admission cost-$5.50 if you are 52" or taller, $4.50 if you're shorter.  You do have to pay the entrance fee even if you aren't swimming.

530pm Family Home Evening at Castlewood Canyon 2989 Colorado 83, Franktown, CO ‎--We’ll hike a little and have a lesson and make Pudgie Pies for dinner.  Cost-$7 per car to enter the park.

TUESDAY

930-noon-Family Field Day-at the park across the street from the Johanson's house.  There will be lots of games and contests for the whole family to participate in.

In the afternoon we’ll stay at the Johanson's and play water games (slip n slide for the kids, etc)

5pm-BBQ dinner

630pm-Family Picture-Wear whatever you'd like to wear that fits into a red, white and blue theme.  Sheri's photographer friend is taking this picture for free!

WEDNESDAY

10am Bellview park and petting zoo. 5001 S Inca Dr, Englewood, CO--We’ll bring a picnic lunch.  Cost $1.75 per person for train and $1.75 per person for petting zoo.

5pm-Dinner at the Johanson's followed by “How well do you know Grandma” game.

THURSDAY

Games and fun at the Johanson's house during the day

6pm-Salisbury Park-11920 N Motsenbocker Rd, Parker, CO--We’ll bring a picnic dinner and enjoy the fun and fireworks.  Cost $5 per car to park...BUT we plan to have drivers drop off their car load at the park and then park farther away and walk to the park OR have one driver park in the lot to bring all the other drivers there.  We can work out the logistics on Thursday.

FRIDAY

For those still around and interested we can go for a hike in the mountains or go to tiny town or come up with something else to do.

LODGING-Sheri has room for anyone who would like to stay there.

FOOD-We’ll have the food all taken care of.  Of course we can always use help preparing it but Sheri will have all the food planned for and there at the house.  If you’re staying at her house you’ll get breakfast.  Then we’ll eat lunches and dinners together at the Johanson's house or as a picnic at a park or event.  Sheri felt it would be too complicated to calculate how much money each family should pay so she asked that families contribute an amount they feel is appropriate for how many are in their family and how many meals they’ll participate in.  Feel free to ask Ellen if you need help figuring this out.

REGARDING THE SCHEDULE-Events were scheduled so that the most people could be involved in as much of the fun as possible.  Afternoons are generally relaxed and at the Johanson's so that small children can nap or rest.  We tried not to over schedule so that there is down time and time for spontaneous fun!  Meal times are generally the same each day.  Activities were chosen that don't cost a lot since many families are already spending a lot just to get to Colorado. Most events are close to the Johanson's house because many of the out of towners will be staying there.  The goal is to give Grandma and her children and grandchildren AND great grandchildren a chance to get together and have fun!  We're so glad that so many people will be able to be here and especially grateful to Sheri and her family for hosting so much of this reunion!
